Simply put, I love teaching. I also love learning. I love being physically active, with all the health benefits this brings. My classes are fun, functional and based on evidence, and that's a guarantee!

I started my career in Sports Centre Management and Sports Development with disabled people. I gained lots of fitness qualifications along the way - If it's on dry land in a fitness environment, then I'm qualified to teach it!

As a tutor with YMCA Fitness Industry Training, I spent years sharing my passion. I continue to tutor and learn with Later Life Training, on courses for professionals working with frailer older people with a risk of falls, including Otago and Postural Stability Instructor (PSI).

I co-designed the first course for fitness instructors working with disabled people and wrote a book on the subject, 'Training Disabled People' (2007, A&C Black).

Thanks to my husband, Suresh, I moved from the bustle of London to the beautiful Scottish Highlands. Together we are directors of Equal Adventure, where we resource inclusive outdoor adventure with disabled people. We have a daughter, Ella.
